Privacy Policy

Cueday (“Cueday”, “we”, “us”) makes a client-management app for wedding videographers and other wedding professionals (“vendors”), available as a mobile app and at cueday.io. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers vendors who use Cueday and the couples and guests who use the pages and forms vendors send them.
1. Information we collect
From vendors (Cueday account holders)
- Account details — your name, email address and sign-in method (email and password, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple).
- Business details — your company name, logo, contact details, services, packages, prices, contract terms, email templates and signature, availability for calls, and your public storefront and portfolio content.
- Client records you add — the couples you work with and their wedding details (names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates, venues, timelines, notes, tasks, payments and files).
- Connected accounts — if you choose to connect Google, Square, Dropbox or Google Drive, the access tokens that let Cueday act on your behalf, and basic details such as the connected account’s email address. See section 3 for Google.
- Subscription details — your plan and payment status. Payments for your Cueday subscription are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage and device data — technical information such as app version, device type and performance metrics (through Firebase Performance Monitoring), used to keep the app fast and reliable.
- How you found us — when you visit Cueday’s own website (cueday.io’s home and feature pages) or sign up, the page you arrived on, the link or ad that brought you (such as “utm” tags or a Meta ad click id), and cookies set by the Meta Pixel. See “Advertising and measurement” below.
From couples, guests and other visitors
- What you submit — information entered into a vendor’s inquiry, questionnaire, onboarding or footage form, call bookings, contract signatures, portal tasks, and files you upload.
- Messages — emails you exchange with a vendor through Cueday. Replies to a vendor’s Cueday emails are received by our email provider and shown in that vendor’s conversation with you.
- Payments — when you pay a vendor’s invoice, payment is handled by Square. We receive the payment status, not your card details.
When a couple’s information is entered or collected on behalf of a vendor, that vendor decides how it’s used; Cueday processes it for them to provide the service.
2. How we use information
- To provide Cueday: running your client pipeline, sending the emails and invoices you write or automate, scheduling calls, generating proposals, contracts, timelines and PDFs, hosting your storefront, portfolio, forms and couple portal, and organising client folders.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To process your subscription and send account and service messages (for example, receipts or important changes).
- To improve Cueday’s performance and reliability.
We do not sell personal information. We advertise Cueday to wedding professionals on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and measure those ads as described below. We never use couples’ or other clients’ information, or any data from Google APIs, for advertising.
Advertising and measurement
On Cueday’s own marketing pages and sign-up (never on vendors’ storefronts, forms, galleries or couple portals), we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API. They tell Meta when a visitor views a page, leaves their email, creates an account, starts a free trial or subscribes. With each of these we send the ad click id, IP address, browser details and a hashed (scrambled) copy of the email address. Meta uses this to show us which ads work and to show our ads to people likely to find Cueday useful. You can opt out at any time; see section 7.
Emails from Cueday. The emails Cueday itself sends you (your welcome email, a sign-up link, and tips about getting started) contain a small image and links that tell us whether the email was opened and which link was tapped. We use this only to see which of our emails are helpful. Emails you send to your own clients through Cueday are never tracked this way. Every getting-started email has an unsubscribe link, and turning off images in your email app stops the open count.
3. Information from your Google account
Connecting Google is optional. When a vendor connects a Google account, Cueday asks only for the permissions below, and uses each one only for the feature described.
| Permission | What Cueday does with it |
|---|---|
gmail.sendSend email on your behalf | Sends the emails you write or set up to send automatically to your clients — from your own Gmail address, with your signature. Cueday cannot read, search or delete anything in your mailbox. |
calendar.eventsView and edit events | Adds, updates and cancels the events for calls you schedule with clients (including Google Meet links) on your Google Calendar. |
calendar.freebusySee when you’re free or busy | Checks when you’re busy, so your call booking page only offers times you’re actually free. It sees busy times only — not your events’ titles, details or guests. |
drive.fileFiles Cueday creates | If you choose Google Drive for client folders: creates and manages the client and team folders, and the files placed in them through Cueday. It cannot see any other files in your Drive. |
userinfo.emailYour email address | Shows which Google account is connected, and sets the “from” address on emails Cueday sends. |
How Google data is stored and protected
The access tokens Google issues are stored in a private area of our database that only Cueday’s servers can read — never the app, your clients or other users — and are encrypted at rest. Calendar busy times are used at the moment a booking page is loaded and are not stored. Emails sent through Gmail are recorded in the client’s conversation in Cueday so you can see what was sent.
How Google data is used and shared
- Google user data is used only to provide the features above, which you can see in the app and turn on or off.
- It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to build user profiles.
- It is not used to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised AI or machine-learning models.
- It is not transferred to anyone except as needed to provide these features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
- People at Cueday do not read Google user data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it’s needed for security or to investigate abuse, or it’s required by law.
Cueday’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting Google
You can disconnect Google at any time in Cueday (Setup → Google), which immediately deletes the stored tokens, or remove Cueday’s access from your Google Account permissions.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Cueday, under agreements that limit their use of it, and only as needed:
- Google Cloud and Firebase — hosting, sign-in, database, file storage and performance monitoring.
- Google APIs — Gmail, Calendar and Drive, when you connect them.
- Dropbox — client folders, if you choose Dropbox.
- Square — vendor invoices and payments, if a vendor connects Square.
- Stripe — Cueday subscription billing.
- Resend — sending Cueday’s system emails and receiving replies to vendors’ emails.
- Meta Platforms — measuring Cueday’s own ads, as described in Advertising and measurement.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, if you use it.
Information a vendor chooses to make public — their storefront, portfolio and booking page — is visible to anyone with the link. Couples’ information is shared with the vendor they’re working with and the team members that vendor adds to their wedding. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (with notice).
5. How long we keep information
We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When a vendor deletes a client, their records are removed from active use. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal, tax or security reasons. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted by account permissions, so vendors can see only their own company’s data, and couples only what their vendor shares with them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach as required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
Deleting your data: in Cueday, open Settings → Delete account. That deletes your account and the data that’s only yours. If you own a company that other people work in, you’ll be asked to hand it over first. Or email cueday-support@googlegroups.com from your account’s address and we’ll delete it within 30 days. If you only gave us your email (for example, for a sign-up link), email us and we’ll remove it.
- Access, correct or export your information, or ask us to delete it, by emailing cueday-support@googlegroups.com.
- Disconnect Google, Square, Dropbox or Drive at any time in the app.
- Couples: contact your vendor about the information they hold, or email us and we’ll help.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, Australia or California), you may have additional rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We don’t sell personal information.
- Opting out of ad measurement: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and we honor it. The Meta Pixel doesn’t load, and nothing about your visit or sign-up is sent to Meta. You can also block third-party cookies, change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram, or email us and we’ll stop sending your information.
8. Children
Cueday is for adults running a business and their clients. It isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
9. International transfers
Cueday’s providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States, with safeguards required by applicable law.
10. Changes
We’ll post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
